First Christian Church has partnered with Edge Outreach to collect shoes.

How your old shoes can help change the world.

Collected shoes have two purposes; keep used shoes out of landfills and raise money for water projects.  Once collected, EDGE sells the shoes to an exporter generating money for training and water projects in developing countries.

The exporter takes the shoes to the same countries that EDGE does water /hand pump repair projects and sells them to micro business owners (at affordable prices) to help them to have a sustainable living for their families. Shoes are expensive in many of these countries and having affordable shoes is another life saving tool as they protect the owner’s feet and overall health from foot abrasions, parasites and mites.

Your can bring your old/new shoes to FCC.

First Christian Church is a drop-off point for shoes.  You can bring your shoes to the church during normal office hours (Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).

The simple effort of thousands of people dropping off used shoes at convenient locations, and the many schools, churches and other organizations collecting shoes means EDGE gets 25,000-30,000 lbs of shoes every month!
